Assess the damage accurately
The repair plan depends on more than dent size: the panel and the shape of the impact also matter. Cracked or broken paint may make paintless repair unsuitable. Access behind the damage, panel contours and earlier repairs are checked. The aim is to improve the panel while retaining the existing paint where possible, rather than promising the same method or an invisible result for every dent.
Plan the treatment
Where suitable, controlled work from behind the panel or an appropriate pulling method may be considered. Changes in the surface are monitored and paint condition checked throughout. Sharp creases, stretched metal or previously repaired areas can limit the outcome. Inspection establishes how much correction is feasible, whether a different body repair is required and how the work should be scheduled for handover.
Inspection after the repair
The treated surface is inspected carefully and relevant use instructions are explained. Cleaning products should suit the material, while unsuitable pressure or abrasive work on the repaired area should be avoided. The result is considered against the original damage and the chosen method. If an unexpected change appears, consulting the dealer allows reassessment and a suitable care decision rather than further improvised treatment.
